Fractal morals

It's been at least 20 years that I worked with affine transforms and it was absolutely humiliating to struggle with IFS - something that I thought I'd never forget. The idea was sound - use a SVG tool (inkscape) to define the transforms and use the data inside windows forms to generate. I forgot that the top left was the screen origin, even as inkscape showed me a grid with the bottom right. And thus my plans of showing my cost center's names in infinite detail with random zooms went toast. All I managed was the main display at which point I'll have needed to explain the levels of zoom there - didnt want to inflict that at a wine tasting cum art exhibition, so canned it. The other thing - blender render - 2GB, was not rendering anywhere near inebriated patience :, so screw that as well :(

In the end, a friend came up with five pieces of lego and made a hedge hog - and said please don't touch it. Strangely, I felt some odd comfort.
